At some point, we’ll need to keep the lights on with something other than my personal savings and a concerning level of optimism. That’s where employers could come in.
My ambition is to build the largest, most active student community in the UK, with Clive getting to know each person properly: what interests them, what they’re good at, and what they want from their working life.
If we get that right, there’s an obvious opportunity to help in both directions. Help graduates find the right employers. Help employers find graduates who’d love to work with them, including people who might never have thought to apply.
Exactly what that looks like, when it launches and what it costs are things I’m still working out. The graduate experience comes first. The employer offering needs to earn its place alongside it.
